Saúl Salcedo begins rehabilitation at Newell's after traffic accident

Saúl Salcedo, a 29-year-old defender for Newell's Old Boys, has returned to the club's training facilities to begin physical rehabilitation following a serious traffic accident in Chaco. The collision, which occurred on June 12 near Margarita Belén, resulted in a fatal accident involving a teacher and left Salcedo with an open fracture of the tibia and fibula.

Medical staff at the club estimate that the Paraguayan player will be able to resume active training in December, allowing him to join the squad for pre-season preparations.

Additionally, right-back Alejo Montero has been medically cleared following surgery and recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Montero has rejoined the reserve team squad.
