Salaga South MP commissions eight boreholes to improve water access
Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, the Member of Parliament for Salaga South, has commissioned eight new boreholes to improve access to clean drinking water within the constituency. The project includes seven mechanised boreholes and one manual borehole, serving communities such as Nguansonu, Powerhouse, RTF Area, Mempeasem, the Salaga New Market Area, Masaka, and the Salaga Old Police Station.
This initiative is part of a larger effort involving twelve completed borehole projects across the constituency. The MP stated that the projects were prompted by concerns raised by residents, particularly women, regarding the difficulties of accessing potable water. The development was supported in part by funding from the National Investment Bank.
