Salam Mustapha withdraws from NPP National Organiser race

Salam Mustapha has withdrawn from the race to become the National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). In a formal communication to the NPP National Officers Elections Committee, Mustapha cited “circumstances beyond my control” as the reason for his decision to step down.

Mustapha expressed that the decision was difficult given the support received from party members and delegates across Ghana. He emphasized that his commitment to the NPP remains firm and stated he will continue to work toward the party’s unity and electoral success. He specifically reiterated his support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, expressing his desire to help him become the next president of Ghana.

His withdrawal occurs as the NPP prepares for internal national executive elections aimed at rebuilding the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
