SalamAir to launch Muscat-Damascus flight service

Omani airline SalamAir is set to begin operating two weekly flights between Muscat International Airport and Damascus International Airport starting Wednesday, 28 October. This marks the first time an Omani carrier has served Syria.

The new route is intended to support business travel, trade, air freight, and travel for Syrians living abroad. According to the airline's destination information, the flights are scheduled to operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The service aligns with Syria's efforts to revive air traffic and expand its international destinations. A SalamAir delegation previously visited Damascus to review operational requirements and procedures ahead of the launch.
