Salamanca experiences significant transport disruptions

Major transportation disruptions are affecting the Salamanca region in Spain due to roadworks and rail incidents. On the SA-20 Ronda Sur, heavy traffic congestion has developed near the intersection with the CL-512 connecting to Aldeatejada. The delays are caused by asphalt paving operations on a large roundabout, which has restricted traffic to the outer lane and impacted commuters and students during morning peak hours.

Simultaneously, rail services between Madrid and Salamanca have been interrupted on the conventional wide-gauge line. Adif reported an incident involving a freight train between San Pedro del Arroyo and Cardeñosa de Ávila. This blockage affects Medium Distance trains traveling between Salamanca and Madrid-Príncipe Pío in both directions. To mitigate the impact, Adif has implemented an alternative road transport plan involving bus transfers between Ávila and Peñaranda de Bracamonte.
