Salamanca Hosts First International Conference on School Bullying

The city of Salamanca will hold the inaugural International Scientific‑Cultural Congress on School Bullying on 6 and 7 November at the Centre for International Spanish, University of Salamanca. The event marks the 10th anniversary of the Asociación Salmantina Contra el Bullying y Ciberbullying (ASCBYC) and is backed by the municipal Council for Family and Equality of Opportunities and the university. Councilor Miryam Rodríguez and ASCBYC president Carmen Guillén presented the programme, which will examine bullying and cyber‑bullying from educational, social‑health, legal, technological and community perspectives, with a focus on vulnerable groups. The congress aims to turn research into actionable proposals for schools, promote inclusive, safe learning environments, and will conclude with the Declaration of Salamanca against School Bullying. Attendees can register until 4 November for a fee of €60 (general) or €35 (students) and will receive a certificate and twelve university credits.
