Salamanca security forces respond to kidnapping and armed robbery

Security forces, including the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and local police, have launched an operation in the Zapote de Palomas community of Salamanca following a reported kidnapping. Residents alerted authorities to armed individuals who allegedly forcibly took a man from a rural area. Security personnel have secured the perimeter and are collecting testimonies to identify the suspects and their vehicles. The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) has opened an investigation.

In a separate incident in the Valtierrilla community of Salamanca, armed men robbed a flower shop and subsequently set the establishment on fire. The robbery occurred around 7:00 PM, with the suspects fleeing after stealing cash. Emergency services responded to control the blaze, which caused material damage but did not spread significantly. No injuries have been confirmed, and no arrests have been made regarding the robbery or the arson.
