Salaria Run to connect Ascoli and San Benedetto in October 2026

The Salaria Run is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2026, featuring two competitive road running routes connecting Ascoli Piceno and San Benedetto del Tronto. Organized by AVIS Ascoli Marathon and Flipper Triathlon Ascoli, the event aims to revive a historical regional tradition through sports collaboration.

The competition offers two distances: a 33.5-kilometer race starting at 8:00 from Piazza Arringo in Ascoli Piceno, and a 21.1-kilometer half marathon starting at 9:00 from the Castel di Lama station area. Both routes conclude in San Benedetto del Tronto, where the first runners are expected around 9:50, with awards ceremonies planned for noon.

To facilitate participants, shuttle bus services will run from Piazza Giorgini to the starting points. Local authorities have announced significant traffic restrictions and parking bans in San Benedetto del Tronto, including the seafront and various streets in Porto d’Ascoli, to accommodate the athletes during the event.
