Salbutamol Aldo-Union stocks cleared for sale by German authorities

German authorities, including the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and the Hessian State Office for Health and Care (HLfGP), have confirmed that pharmacies and wholesalers may continue to sell existing stocks of the imported medication Salbutamol Aldo-Union 100 µg/puff.

Although the official nationwide shortage of Salbutamol met its end, the legal ruling only prohibits the import of new batches. It does not affect the sale of goods that were lawfully delivered to the market prior to the end of the shortage. This clarification follows inquiries from InfectoPharm Arzneimittel und Consilium GmbH, which had provided the Spanish preparation under a special permit to mitigate previous supply gaps.
