Salceda de Caselas to Install LED Lighting at Penedo Redondo Football Field

The municipality of Salceda de Caselas will begin work to renovate the lighting system at the Penedo Redondo football field. Funding of €55,537.79 from the third extraordinary sports‑infrastructure plan of the Deputación de Pontevedra will cover the replacement of the ageing 51.6 kW lighting setup with high‑efficiency LED equipment, reducing power consumption to about 20 kW – a 62 % energy saving. An additional €11,657.39 from the second extraordinary plan will finance an electrobomb to improve irrigation coverage.

Mayor Loli Castiñeira, sports councillor Marcos Troncoso and training‑and‑employment councillor Xurxo Gregorio inspected the site with the contractor and project manager before the works start in the coming days. The field, inaugurated in 2010 and used daily by local teams, will benefit from brighter, more uniform illumination and lower operating costs.
