Saldungaray: Argentine town features monumental architecture and vineyards

Saldungaray is a unique destination located in the southwest of the Buenos Aires province, within the Tornquist district and the Sierra de la Ventana region. The town is characterized by its monumental architecture, vineyards, and mountainous landscape.

The town's history dates back to 1879 when Pedro Saldungaray, a Basque-French immigrant, acquired approximately 2,670 hectares of land along the Sauce Grande stream. The area previously served as a military settlement, including the Posta del Sauce and Fortín Pavón.
