Salem: Four arrested for sexual abuse of 13-year-old girl

Police in Salem have arrested four individuals, including two minors, in connection with the prolonged sexual abuse of a 13-year-old girl. The victim was reportedly made addicted to alcohol by the suspects, who used beer and other substances to facilitate the abuse over a period of more than a year.

The investigation began after the girl's mother noticed changes in her behavior and sought assistance from a child protection center. Authorities stated that the suspects, including the brothers of the girl's friends, had established contact through social media platforms such as WhatsApp and Instagram.

Law enforcement has detained two adults, identified as 19-year-old Akash and 23-year-old Balamurugan, while the two minors have been presented before a juvenile court. Police are currently searching for three additional suspects believed to be involved in the crime.
