Salem Quakers win team titles at Early Bird Cross Country Invitational

The Salem Quakers secured both the boys and girls team titles at the 24th annual Salem Early Bird Cross Country Invitational held at Waterworth Memorial Park.

In the boys' race, senior Luke Stephens won the individual title among 146 runners with a time of 16:56.2. The Salem boys' team finished with 22 points, placing five runners in the top nine finishers.

In the girls' race, sophomore Addison Hopple took first place with a time of 19:30.6. The Salem girls' team earned the title with 27 points, placing five runners within the top 11. Several members of the girls' team previously competed at the state cross country meet.
