Salento hosts classical music concerts and organ festivals

The Salento region in Italy is hosting several classical music events, including the launch of the 57th concert season for the Camerata Musicale Salentina. On September 25, the Solisti di SalentOpera will perform a free concert at the Church of Sant’Irene in Lecce. The quintet, featuring Tommaso Reho, Antonio De Pascalis, Michele Nicolaci, Cristian Quarta, and Matteo Terragno, will perform works by Mozart and Beethoven.

Additionally, the Festival Organistico del Salento features two upcoming performances. On September 13, Carlo Maria Barile will perform a repertoire ranging from Trabaci to Bach at the Church of Purgatorio in Conversano. This will be held on the Nicola de Simone junior organ. On September 14, Francesco Cardelli will perform at the Basilica of Santa Croce in Lecce, focusing on the organ symphonies of Charles-Marie Widor, alongside works by Schumann, Brahms, and Debussy.
