Salernitana nears agreement with Vito Di Bari for coaching role

Salernitana is reportedly close to appointing Vito Di Bari as the club's new head coach following the dismissal of Serse Cosmi. According to reports, the club has reached a preliminary agreement with the current Casarano manager for a contract lasting until June 30, 2027.

Di Bari, a former player for Taranto and Verona, is reportedly willing to forgo the remaining year and a half of his contract with Casarano to join the Salerno-based club. While an official announcement is expected soon, the transition may take time due to technicalities regarding his current contract. In the interim, Giuseppe Scurto, the former assistant to Cosmi, may lead the team during the transition period.

The move comes amid a period of significant instability for the club under owner Danilo Iervolino. Since 2022, the team has seen a high turnover of managers, including Davide Nicola, Paulo Sousa, Pippo Inzaghi, Fabio Liverani, Stefano Colantuono, Giovanni Martusciello, Roberto Breda, Pasquale Marino, Giuseppe Raffaele, and Serse Cosmi.
