Salerno accelerates urban works for San Matteo festivities
Salerno is undergoing several urban redevelopment projects aimed at preparing the city for the upcoming San Matteo festivities on September 21. A primary objective is to create a 15-meter passage in Piazza Cavour to accommodate religious statues and processions during the 'saluto al mare' event.
Work is also progressing on various road surfaces and infrastructure, including the repaving of several streets and the opening of an underpass connecting Trincerone to via SS Martiri, which is expected to be completed by mid-September. Additionally, construction on via Marino Paglia is nearing completion, potentially allowing for an earlier reopening of the road.
