Salerno administrator banned following private clinic fraud investigation

An administrator of a private clinic in the Cilento region, Salerno, has been banned from holding management positions for one year following an investigation into healthcare fraud. The measure was ordered by the Reexamination Section of the Salerno Court following an appeal by prosecutors.

Investigators from the Guardia di Finanza allege the existence of a criminal association aimed at defrauding public entities and committing forgery in public acts. The scheme reportedly involved a medical specialist who held an exclusive employment contract with a public health agency while simultaneously performing regular surgeries at the private clinic. This arrangement allegedly misled the public hospital, which continued to pay the doctor exclusivity allowances, while the private clinic profited from the unauthorized services.
