Salerno Airport launches tourism display for Palinuro and Centola

A new territorial communication installation has been set up in the arrivals area of Salerno Costa d’Amalfi and Cilento Airport. The display, dedicated to the Comune of Centola, showcases an aerial view of Capo Palinuro alongside images of San Severino di Centola, Foria, San Nicola di Centola and the town centre. It is part of a promotion effort by the local destination‑management organisation DMO Cilento Autentico and tourism operator Fenailp Turismo, aiming to turn the airport into a gateway that introduces visitors to the wider Cilento region.

Centola’s mayor Rosario Pirrone said the installation is intended to make the first impression of travelers focus on the area’s cultural and natural heritage beyond its beaches. DMO president Marco Sansiviero highlighted the project as an early structured territorial‑marketing action within the airport, designed to capture the growing passenger flow and convert it into tourism opportunities for the province.
