Salerno health authorities form task force for ALS care

Health authorities and associations in Salerno are establishing a permanent working group to improve care for patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). The initiative involves ASL Salerno, the AOU Ruggi d’Aragona hospital, and AISLA.

The primary objectives of this integrated pathway are to reduce the time required for diagnosis and to strengthen multidisciplinary coordination between neurology, local medicine, rehabilitation, and home care. The group aims to create clear operating procedures and defined responsibilities to ensure continuity of care between the hospital and local territory, preventing patients and caregivers from having to navigate fragmented assistance systems.
