Salerno hospital faces lawsuit after court confirms liability in teen's death
The family of Alessandro Farina, a 13-year-old who died in 2017 due to a delayed type 1 diabetes diagnosis and subsequent medical errors at Salerno's Ruggidi Hospital, is pursuing a civil lawsuit for damages.
Despite a final ruling from the Court of Cassation confirming the liability of the healthcare workers and the hospital, the family reports that no compensation has been offered. Tiziana Morra, the boy's mother, stated that mediation attempts failed and she is now seeking justice and transparency through the courts, while also calling on the President of the Campania Region to intervene.
