Salerno initiatives target social welfare and disability support

Representative Elvira Carpentieri noted that issues such as predatory contracts or digital exclusion often escalate into poverty and isolation before they reach welfare services. The discussion highlighted a significant resource gap between Northern and Southern Italy regarding foundation support for the third sector.

Simultaneously, the Fondazione Anffas Caressa ETS has established a Solidarity Fund to assist individuals with disabilities and their families. The fund aims to reduce waiting times and financial barriers for essential therapies and rehabilitation services. By utilizing donations and fundraising, the initiative seeks to provide timely access to care, focusing on autonomy and social inclusion for those facing economic hardship.
