Salerno launches fourth edition of civic education project

The ACI Automobile Club Salerno, in collaboration with the Municipality of Salerno, is launching the fourth edition of the project ‘Non fare lo sbronzo: proteggi la vita, l’ambiente, la città’ (Don’t be a drunk: protect life, the environment, the city). The initiative, created by Monica De Santis, holds the High Patronage of the European Parliament and is supported by various Italian ministries.

This edition features record participation, involving all 17 upper secondary schools, 11 comprehensive institutes, and one private school in the Salerno area, totaling 67 school buildings. A significant expansion this year includes middle school students, bringing the total number of participants to over 3,400. The program focuses on road safety, civic education, environmental protection, and urban legality.

A wide network of institutional partners will support the educational path, including the State Police, Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, Firefighters, and the Red Cross, among others. The scheduled activities will run from October 1, 2026, to May 13, 2027.
