In Sorrento, work to stabilise a collapsed cliff on Via Nastro Verde has allowed the removal of a temporary traffic light, improving flow for residents and tourists, but officials warn that overgrown vegetation now threatens road safety and call for urgent pruning.
On the A3 Napoli‑Salerno highway, police officers from the Angri road‑police unit intervened at 1:30 a.m. on 28 June to stop a young woman walking against traffic, securing her and escorting her to safety, an action praised by the regional SILP CGIL.
Salerno’s security unit reported anti‑drug checks at the railway station and public squares, and fined an illegal parking operator under national regulations.

In Naples, police, finance guards and local authorities conducted “movida” checks in the Chiaia nightlife area, identifying 63 individuals, inspecting 20 vehicles and sanctioning several establishments for violations such as illegal occupation of public space and missing permits.
