Salerno to host memorial for former footballer Carlo Ricchetti

Salerno will host the first “Memorial Carlo Ricchetti” on Wednesday, October 28, at the Casa Olympic fields. The event commemorates the former Salernitana player one year after his passing.

The memorial will feature Under-11 youth teams from Salernitana, Benevento, Juve Stabia, Scafatese, and Olympic Salerno. The initiative was organized by Ricchetti’s former teammates to celebrate his legacy through youth football.

Ricchetti was a key figure in Salernitana’s historic promotions to Serie B in 1994 and Serie A in 1998. The event will include his wife, Antonella Conversano, former teammates, and representatives from the Salernitana club and the Municipality of Salerno.
