Salerno to host Pitti Pizza & Friends festival in August

The Pitti Pizza & Friends event is scheduled to take place in Salerno from August 25 to 30. The festival will feature 21 ovens and a musical lineup including artists such as Dolcenera, Fabio Rovazzi, and Leo Gassmann. To accommodate attendees, Trenitalia will add 20 extra train services on the Salerno-Arechi line.

In collaboration with AIC Campania, Pizzeria Madison Salernone will provide a dedicated gluten-free station. Additionally, there is a growing trend in the Campania region for low-carb pizza options. Establishments such as Ai Tre Monelli in Angri, Portico 95 in Aversa, and Meeto Pizzeria in Caivano are increasingly offering specialized doughs made from seeds, nuts, legumes, and vegetable fibers to meet specific dietary needs.
