Salerno undergoes urban redevelopment and infrastructure upgrades

Salerno is undergoing significant urban redevelopment projects aimed at improving city aesthetics and pedestrian safety. In the Corso Vittorio Emanuele area, workers are nearing completion of new volcanic stone paving between via Velia and via Roma. The administration aims to finish this central section by September 21, coinciding with the celebrations of San Matteo, before moving work to via Francesco Conforti.

Additionally, infrastructure improvements are being implemented near the Manfredi pier to support tourism and transit. Along via Alvarez, new wrought-iron bollards have been installed to prevent illegal parking on sidewalks. These barriers are designed to protect pedestrians and tourists while featuring panels for advertising or cultural information, as part of a broader effort to prepare the city for the autumn season.
