Salesforce and Anthropic expand partnership via Claudeforce

Salesforce and Anthropic have expanded their strategic partnership through the launch of ‘Claudeforce’. This collaboration integrates Anthropic’s Claude AI reasoning capabilities with Salesforce’s enterprise data, workflows, and governance systems to enable agentic experiences.

The initial phase features ‘Salesforce in Claude’, a plugin providing sales teams with 37 prebuilt skills. These tools are designed to improve pipeline visibility, automate updates, and enhance productivity by allowing users to take governed actions directly within the Claude interface. This move effectively shifts the user interface toward the AI agent, with Salesforce acting as the underlying data and workflow engine.

While this strategy involves allowing Claude to serve as a primary user entry point—potentially reducing Salesforce’s direct visibility into user behavior—Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff stated the goal is to fuse Claude’s reasoning with the company’s trusted enterprise harness. The companies plan to further expand integrations across Claude, Salesforce, and Slack.
