Salesforce and Anthropic launch Claudeforce AI integration

Salesforce and Anthropic have announced an expanded strategic partnership titled ‘Claudeforce,’ aimed at integrating Anthropic’s Claude AI models directly into the Salesforce ecosystem. This collaboration seeks to merge Claude’s reasoning capabilities with Salesforce’s deterministic enterprise data, workflows, and governance structures.

A primary component of the launch is ‘Salesforce in Claude,’ a plugin featuring 37 prebuilt sales skills. This tool allows sales teams to analyze live revenue data, prepare for meetings, and update pipelines directly within the Claude interface. The integration is supported by Salesforce’s ‘AIforce’ infrastructure, which utilizes Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, APIs, and command-line tools to securely connect business data to AI agents while maintaining existing enterprise permissions.

Beyond the plugin, Claude is set to become the default reasoning model for several Salesforce services, including Slack, Agentforce, and Agent Builder. Salesforce has also committed nearly $300 million toward Anthropic token consumption in 2026. The partnership aims to transform the user experience by making AI the primary interface for business applications, allowing users to interact with complex CRM data through natural language reasoning rather than manual UI navigation. An open beta phase for these new features is expected to begin in September 2026.
