Salesforce announces AIforce platform at Dreamforce conference
At the Dreamforce conference, Salesforce announced AIforce, a new platform designed to integrate with various artificial intelligence systems rather than relying on a single proprietary assistant. The platform includes an integration with Anthropic’s Claude, known as Claudeforce, which Salesforce claims offers zero data retention by the model provider to address enterprise security concerns. The system is also designed to work with ChatGPT and Slack.
CEO Marc Benioff used the event to criticize Microsoft’s Copilot, arguing that competing AI solutions lack the controlled business-data layer required for consistent enterprise operations. Benioff referred to these limitations as the “Fantasyland” problem.
In addition to product announcements, Salesforce set a fiscal 2030 revenue target of $63 billion. The company’s stock recently saw significant momentum, closing at $255.65 on September 15 following a nearly 34% gain over the previous month. Analysts have responded positively to the announcements, with Stifel raising its price target for the company to $300.
