Agentic AI adoption drives demand for new governance and infrastructure

The rise of agentic AI—systems capable of independent decision-making and task execution—is shifting the technological landscape from advisory tools to autonomous participants. In the Asia-Pacific region, 75% of organizations have already deployed some form of agentic AI. However, this rapid adoption is outpacing governance frameworks. Research commissioned by UiPath indicates significant enterprise concerns, with 51% of organizations citing data privacy breaches and 48% worrying about security risks stemming from autonomous actions.

This shift is driving a new demand for specialized infrastructure. In India, the transition from stateless inference workloads to stateful, long-running agentic workloads is creating opportunities for local startups to build both the agentic SaaS layer and the underlying sovereign infrastructure required to compete globally.
