Salesforce Insurance Day explores AI impact in Buenos Aires

The second edition of Salesforce Insurance Day was held in Buenos Aires, organized by Salesforce and bdt global. The event brought together insurance executives and technology specialists to discuss how agentic artificial intelligence, AI agents, and new technological architectures are transforming the insurance sector.

Mario Cuniberti, Senior Director of Solution Engineering for Salesforce in Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Colombia, noted that the industry is moving beyond simple task automation toward incorporating agents capable of thinking, deciding, and acting. He cited McKinsey data suggesting that scaling this technology could improve sales conversion rates by 10% to 20% and reduce new customer onboarding costs by 20% to 40%.

Gustavo Trías, President of the Asociación Argentina de Compañías de Seguros (AACS), emphasized that the shift is strategic rather than merely technological. He highlighted that insurers must evolve from models focused on quotes and claims toward those centered on customer knowledge, prevention, and personalized products. Trías also identified emerging challenges such as increased longevity, cybersecurity, and digital assets as key drivers for new business models.
