Salesforce Invests in Italian AI Platform Callimacus

Salesforce has agreed to invest in Solomei AI, the developer of the Callimacus platform, an artificial‑intelligence system that builds page‑less, personalized web and app experiences. The investment will support Callimacus’s engineering and research, speed product development and expand commercial operations across Europe and North America. The deal requires approval under Italy’s “golden power” rules, meaning the Italian government must sign off before Salesforce can become one of the founding shareholders alongside the Cucinelli family holding and other early investors.

Callimacus was first demonstrated in January 2026 with a new e‑commerce experience for luxury brand Brunello Cucinelli. Brunello Cucinelli, president of Solomei AI, and Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff highlighted the project’s aim to create an intuitive, AI‑driven “new web” that adapts to each visitor’s intent.
