Salesforce shares rise after Bank of America upgrades rating to Buy

Salesforce shares rose over 3% following a significant upgrade by BofA Securities, which moved the stock rating from Underperform to Buy and raised the price target from $160 to $285.

The upgrade is driven by the company’s successful pivot toward artificial intelligence, specifically through its Agentforce platform. Agentforce serves as an AI agent layer integrated across the Salesforce customer relationship management platform, allowing organizations to automate tasks and evaluate information. Recent data shows Agentforce contributed more than $1.5 billion in annual recurring revenue for the quarter ended July 31, 2026, representing a 240% increase year-over-year.

Salesforce reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $11.345 billion, an 11% increase from the previous year. The company also raised its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to a range of $46.1 billion to $46.4 billion. Analysts noted that the upcoming Winter ’27 release will further integrate AI agents into existing business workflows, acting as a catalyst for continued growth.
