Salesforce unveils AIforce and expands Google Cloud partnership

At the Dreamforce 2026 conference, Salesforce unveiled AIforce, a new interface layer designed to transform the company into an ‘Agentic Enterprise.’ This architecture allows AI agents to access Salesforce’s data, workflows, and business logic across various platforms, including Claude, Slack, and Lightning. The system is built on a headless architecture using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and includes the Enterprise AI Harness to provide agents with necessary business context and security controls.

Key components of this rollout include Claudeforce, a plugin enabling Salesforce features within Anthropic’s Claude model, and Agentforce Coworker, which is being rolled out globally, including in 40 countries. To manage these agents, Salesforce introduced an AI Control Plane for centralized enterprise oversight. The company also emphasized security through Zero Data Retention policies to protect business data from model providers.

Additionally, Salesforce expanded its strategic partnership with Google Cloud. Under this agreement, selected US customers will migrate to Google Cloud via Hyperforce architecture in the fourth quarter, providing access to Gemini Enterprise and integrated data services. The partnership aims to deepen integration between Salesforce and Google’s AI platforms, allowing for direct data access and enhanced analytics through Tableau.
