Saleta Castro wins Embrunman Triathlon as Montraveta takes second

Spanish athletes achieved significant success at the 42nd edition of the Embrunman Triathlon, one of the world's most demanding long-distance races. Saleta Castro secured victory in the women's category with a time of 12:03:11, marking Spain's return to the top of the podium in this event for the first time in seven years.

In the men's competition, Jordi Montraveta finished in second place, narrowly missing a potential Spanish double. Montraveta pushed the race to the final kilometers, ultimately finishing just 1:18 behind the winner, Niek Heldoorn. The race featured a grueling course including 3.8 kilometers of swimming, 185 kilometers of cycling with 5,000 meters of elevation gain, and a full marathon.
