Sali Berisha plans second US visit amid political tensions
Sali Berisha, leader of the Democratic Party, has recently returned from a visit to the United States and is considering a second trip to Washington in December to attend the International Democrat Union (IDU) forum.
Following his appearance before SPAK, Berisha criticized Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding protests organized by the Albanian diaspora in Detroit. Berisha also accused SPAK of acting as a private investigator for the Prime Minister, alleging that the agency protects government-related crimes.
While Berisha frames his travels as significant diplomatic engagements, critics argue the visits serve personal political purposes rather than shifting national policy or increasing electoral support.
