Salik reports H1 profit dip as Dubai traffic rebounds
Dubai’s toll‑road operator Salik posted a first‑half net profit of AED 704 million, down 8.7 % year‑on‑year, while revenue fell 7.5 % to AED 1.41 billion. The decline was driven by a 9.5 % drop in total trips through its toll gates, reflecting reduced traffic after the regional disruptions that began in late February 2026. Traffic volumes began recovering in the second quarter, with June journeys approaching normal levels and chargeable trips stabilising. Chief Executive Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad said the improvement signalled a return to near‑normal conditions, and the company maintained a strong profitability margin of 49.9 % for the period. Chairman Mattar Al Tayer highlighted the resilience of Salik’s business model and its continued cash generation, noting ongoing expansion of digital mobility services and partnerships with Dubai Airports and other local entities.
