Salil Arora discusses IPL debut and Sher-E-Punjab T20 League

Salil Arora, a wicketkeeper-batter for the Ludhiana Lions and Sunrisers Hyderabad, has reflected on his debut Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. During a match against the Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, Arora contributed a 30-run cameo in the death overs, which included a notable no-look six hit against Jasprit Bumrah. Arora noted that he focused on playing the ball rather than the reputation of the bowlers, following advice from his coaches and senior teammates.

Arora credited senior players such as Pat Cummins, Heinrich Klaasen, Ishan Kishan, and Abhishek Sharma for helping him settle into his role as a finisher. He also highlighted the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League as a vital platform for young cricketers to gain exposure and attract the attention of IPL and Indian national selectors.
