Salim Hanna joins Ferrari Driver Academy

Colombian racing driver Salim Hanna, 16, has officially joined the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA). This marks a significant milestone for Latin American motorsport, as Hanna becomes the first Hispanic American to join the Maranello-based talent program since Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez in 2010.

Hanna’s recent career highlights include finishing fourth in the 2025 Italian Formula 4 championship and securing a victory from pole position in the European Regional Formula during the current season. In addition to his academy appointment, it was announced that Hanna will compete full-time in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Campos Racing.
