Salim Saleh disputes King Saha's coffee theft claims
Retired General Salim Saleh has addressed allegations made in the song ‘Akamwanyi’ by musician King Saha, claiming the singer provided misleading information regarding the theft of coffee. Speaking at the launch of the Uganda Coffee Group, Saleh disputed the song's lyrics which suggest coffee was taken away by men.
Saleh, who noted a family connection to the musician, stated, “I want to assure King Saha today that the coffee is back,” signaling a shift in the sector's status. He used the occasion to encourage Ugandans to participate in the newly formed Uganda Coffee Group to engage more deeply with the country's coffee value chain.
