Saline Joniche fire destroys Elisoni Autotrasporti depot

A large fire destroyed the depot of the transport company Elisoni Autotrasporti in Saline Joniche, located in the province of Reggio Calabria. The blaze occurred late at night in via Campolo, causing extensive damage to numerous vehicles and a portion of the company's warehouse.

Firefighters from the Melito Porto Salvo detachment worked throughout the night to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby residential areas. The intense fire produced a large column of black smoke visible from great distances.

Carabinieri have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and whether it was accidental or intentional. Authorities are also working to assess the full extent of the structural and vehicular damage.
