Sağlık-Sen holds regional general assemblies in Edirne and Afyonkarahisar

The Health and Social Service Workers Union (Sağlık-Sen) recently held ordinary general assembly meetings for its regional branches in Edirne and Afyonkarahisar.

In Edirne, Erhan Turhan was re-elected as the head of the branch during the 5th ordinary general assembly. The election proceeded with a single list of candidates. Turhan emphasized that such congresses reinforce the spirit of unity and togetherness, noting that members have committed themselves to increasing the material and moral value of the profession.

In Afyonkarahisar, the 6th ordinary general assembly was held at the Korel Thermal Hotel. Abdülkadir Hız, the branch president and candidate, addressed the assembly regarding the challenges facing healthcare workers, including economic expectations, staffing shortages, and workplace violence. He stated the goal of the union is to ensure healthcare workers receive proper compensation for their labor and to resolve their professional issues through constructive and decisive unionism.
