Sallaum Lines launches European automotive road logistics company
Sallaum Lines has launched Sallaum Logistics Ltd, a new European company dedicated to finished vehicle logistics (FVL). Headquartered in Lithuania, the firm aims to extend the company’s maritime vehicle transportation network into inland road transport.
The new entity will connect ports, factories, distribution hubs, and dealerships across major European markets, including Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Services will include cross-border transportation, fleet distribution, and port-to-dealer deliveries, as well as vehicle processing, storage, and pre-delivery inspections.
Sallaum Logistics will begin operations with an initial fleet of 50 truck-and-trailer units, with plans to expand to 300 owned trucks by 2029. While Sallaum Lines continues to focus on global Ro-Ro ocean transportation, the new logistics arm will handle the inland stage of the vehicle journey for automotive manufacturers, OEMs, and dealership groups.
