Salma Hayek becomes grandmother following birth of stepgrandson

Actress Salma Hayek has announced that she has become a grandmother for the first time. The 59-year-old star shared a video on Instagram featuring her new grandson, the son of her stepson, François Pinault Jr., and his wife, Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck.

The newborn, named François, continues a family tradition, marking the fourth living generation of men with that name in the Pinault lineage. Hayek noted in her post, “We are blessed to welcome the fourth living generation of François,” though she mentioned she intends to use the affectionate nickname “Panchito” for the baby.

Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck, the daughter of German Oscar-winning director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, recently shared photos marking the couple’s first month of parenthood. The birth follows the engagement of Pinault Jr. and Henckel von Donnersmarck, which was announced earlier this year.
