Actress Salma Hayek shared reflections on becoming a grandmother and reaching the age of 60 during the Women In Film Honors event in Beverly Hills. Hayek expressed enthusiasm for her new role after her stepson, François Pinault Jr., and his wife, Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck, welcomed a baby boy over the summer.
Hayek also spoke about her perspective on aging, noting that she previously found the milestone of turning 60 to be intimidating, but now finds herself feeling optimistic and energetic. Professionally, the actress has recently expanded into directing, having completed her first feature film, Arena.
