Salman Khan to star in superhero film directed by Raj and DK

Actor Salman Khan is set to headline a large-scale superhero action film directed by the duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Principal photography for the project is scheduled to begin in January 2027.

The film marks a significant creative shift for the directors, who have recently focused on streaming series such as ‘The Family Man’ and ‘Farzi’. This project represents their return to large-scale theatrical direction since 2017. The story is reportedly described as a character-driven superhero tale with a tone similar to the film ‘Hancock’, potentially featuring Khan as a battle-worn crime-fighter nearing retirement.

Before commencing production, the filmmakers are expected to complete ‘Farzi 2’. Khan’s current schedule includes commitments to ‘SVC63’, ‘Monster’, and ‘Bigg Boss 20’. The film is being planned as a major pan-India theatrical release.
