Salman Khan’s ‘Maatrubhumi’ release date pending CBFC screening

The release date for Salman Khan’s upcoming war drama, ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’ (formerly titled ‘Battle of Galwan’), is expected to be announced following a screening by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

While some reports have suggested delays due to content issues and potential reshoots, sources close to the production indicate that the film is nearly complete, with only final VFX work remaining. The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, is a cinematic adaptation of the 2020 Galwan Valley clash. It focuses on Colonel Santosh Babu and the 16 Bihar Regiment during their enforcement of a disengagement agreement along the Line of Actual Control.

Despite fan concerns regarding the lack of recent updates and the potential for rising budgets due to delays, the production is moving toward its final stages ahead of a public release.
