Salmo performs in Catania following brief hospitalization

Italian rapper Salmo performed a successful concert at Villa Bellini in Catania on August 9, following a brief hospitalization at the Policlinico San Marco. Despite recent health concerns, the artist fulfilled his promise to his fans to continue his Sicilian tour.

Prior to the show, Salmo had been hospitalized due to sudden health issues. While the specific cause of this recent hospitalization was not detailed, the artist had previously shared his struggle with a recurrence of basal cell carcinoma. His recent comments regarding skin cancer and the use of sunscreen sparked a debate with the Italian Society of Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (Sidemast), which clarified that UV rays are carcinogenic and noted a lack of scientific evidence linking sunscreen to cancer.

Following the Catania performance, Salmo is scheduled to perform at the Velodromo in Palermo on August 11.
