Salmon Arm RCMP arrest man for multiple thefts and mischief

Kevin Kilmartin, 49, is in custody following a series of thefts and mischief offences in Salmon Arm. On August 19, RCMP officers arrested Kilmartin after discovering a smashed front door at a business on Lakeshore Drive NE. Upon further investigation, police identified three additional businesses with similar damage.

Through video surveillance, officers identified Kilmartin, who was already known to police. The investigation links him to several prior incidents, including a break-in at H2O4U dating back to May and June, as well as the theft of a wallet from an unlocked vehicle and subsequent unauthorized credit card charges in June.

Kilmartin has been remanded into custody by a judge. He faces multiple charges, including counts of break and enter, mischief, theft under $5,000, and possession of a credit card obtained by crime.
