Salmon Arm RCMP seek charges in separate theft incidents
Salmon Arm RCMP are seeking charges against two individuals following separate theft incidents in August.
In the first incident, which occurred on August 12, a man smashed a window at a liquor store located along Highway 1. A witness followed the suspect and alerted police, leading to the man's arrest in a nearby field. Authorities recovered two cases of Twisted Teas during the arrest.
The second incident involved a woman accused of stealing pepperoni from a business on Hudson Avenue on August 24. Police located and arrested the woman near a hospital, where they recovered the stolen goods. The business owner provided video and photographic evidence of the theft, noting that the suspect had allegedly stolen from the store multiple times previously.
Both individuals have been released with future court dates. The charges are being forwarded to BC Prosecution for assessment.
